Day 1 : Marrakech → Ait Benhaddou Kasbah → Ouarzazate → Skoura.
We will be departing early in the morning from your Hotel/Riad and head towards the High Atlas and Tizi Tichka Mountains. We will drive along the stunning region dominated by landscape which is stripped of its bright green mantle, once over the pass, however a remarkable, totally different scene is unveiled. The lunar landscape of the anti atlas and desert beyond, spot-stop for pictures along the road and carry on to the famous Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. This UNESCO world heritage site is one of the most exotic and best-preserved Kasbahs and one of the most intriguing red earth castles lining the ancient road of the Kasbahs. The tour continues towards Ouarzazate, stopping at studio cinema before getting to Kasbah Taourirt, a magnificent structure and a historical monument giving tribute to the Glaoui. We will be enjoying lunch infront of the kasbah and take a rest. After midday, the tour follows the road to the palm groves of Skoura and through the Road of Thousand Kasbahs to reach the Kasbah Amrédlyle. You will then enjoy dinner and overnight in your hotel.
Day 2 : Skoura → Roses Valley → Dades Gorges → Todra Gorges → Erfoud → Rissani → Merzouga.
After a delecious breakfast in our kasbah we will visit of the Amredhyle Kasbah, one of the wonders of the southern “Route of the thousand kasbahs”. Continuing our journey through the Valley of the Roses we’ll stop in Et Kella M’Gouna. Driving along the amazing Valley of Roses reaching the Dades Gorges. Here we have few moments to walk among the gorges and enjoy the captivating views, then head down towards Tinghir with its fabulous canyons. At the Todra Canyons, we will have time to walk around the “gorges” and enjoy lunch in a restaurant where we can enjoy the river with its fabulous views. We will continue driving to Tinjedad and Erfoud for a visit of a local fossil craft workshop. We will continue to the fascinating dunes of Erg Chebbi, also known as the Dunes of Merzouga. As soon as we arrive in the desert, we will find our camel ready for a camel trekking among the dunes. Then we will spend the night eating traditional cuisine and resting in a comfortable bivouacs.
This morning will be an early one, you will rise up and hike up the dune in order to enjoy what may just be the best sunrise of your life. Afterwards, you will hop on your camel and trek throughout the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes back to your hotel. After breakfast and a much needed shower at the hotel you will depart for Khamlia, village of Gnaoua, famous for its unique music in the desert with a stop for a mint tea in a Gnaoua home.
We leave for Taouz to learn about the stone engravings then descent to Ziz Wadi. The track follows the path of Paris-Dakar, passing by many small villages lost in the desert of Ouzina. Along the way we will have lunch and have the opportunity to fully feel the ways of the Southern Morocco in Ramlia. We then will cross a very sandy track to the Wadi Rheris. The road then leads tock which follows the mountain that leads to M’harch. Overnight in Riad Nomad.
Day 4 : M'harech Gorges → Piste paris Dakar → Draa valley → Agdez.
After breakfast, we leave for the surroundings and take the tracks to the ancient village of Tafraout. We will explore around the village and connect with local artisans. A cup of tea will be reserved with a local tribe of Berbers so you can learn some of the local language and fully immerse yourself in the Berber lifestyle. The next stop is a local cooperation that aids and promotes economic sustainability for women. We then head to Zagora and drive along the Paris-Dakar tracks while crossing desert uplands. Once we arrive we take some time to enjoy the scenery and have lunch. After lunch we will visit Tamegroute, a village located in the heart of of Zagora. It has a Koranic Library that once held 40,000 volumes and theological college dating from the 11th century. We continue to Agdez passing through the Draa Valley and its procession of palm trees and many typical Berber villages. You will be having dinner and overnighting within the the Kasbah.
Day 5 : Agdez → Taznakt → Taliouine → Taroudant.
We will be having breakfast in the hotel before departing to experience another impressive day in the West of Morocco 'Souss Massa'. The road trip continues as we drive to Tansikht, and right after Taliouine -- otherwise known as the capital of Saffron in Morocco. Here you will have the option to visit the Safran co-oprative. If you're visit coincides with the harvest season, you will be able to meet the Berber people with their families harvesting in their fields. You will then continue to Taroudant, a Berber market town vital to the Trans Saharan caravan routes. Here you will be able to walk the small alleys within the Medina. You do have some free time before dinner and you're overnight in a Riad within the Kasbah.
Day 6 : Taroudant → Agadir → Essaouira.
Breakfast will be served in the morning before you depart to Agadir, a town who's greatest asset is the extent of it's beaches. Stretches of fine golden sand protected by the arms of the Baie de Sghir and offering some of the best bathing in Morocco. Enjoy some scenic views well enjoying lunch - it's time to order the Seafood!Later on depart for a scenic drive along the Atlantic coast through the Argon Tree Forests and Banana Plantations. Once we have rounded Cap Sghir “7km from Agadir” there are some wonderful stretches of beach, often quite deserted and known collectively (and rightly) as Paradis Plage. After several stops along the coast and village shops selling great souvenirs we get to Essaouira early evening. Enjoy some free time before dinner and a good nights rest in a Riad.
Day 7 : Essaouira.
After breakfast you have the entire day to explore this quaint coastal town. In the morning you will be on a guided walking tour to get you acquainted. You will be able to wander the Mogador town and visit the medina as well as visit the Skala Fortress and witness Thuya wood being carved by artisans. In the afternoon, you will have some free time to wander around and enjoy a very favorable microclimate which ensures a mild winter and a cool summer. Essaouira is also referred to as The "City of the Wind" and it attracts surfers from all over the world so you can attempt some surfing or parasailing if you wish. Overnight in your Riad.
Day 8 : Essaouira → Marrakech.
Enjoy breakfast in your Riad and some free time to say goodbye to this quaint town before heading towards Marrakech.
Breakfast in your riad, you will have some free time before leaving for the red city of Marrakech. As we leave Essaouira we soon arrive upon our first signs of the Argan trees. These special trees are valued for their nutritive, cosmetic and numerous medicinal properties. Here you will see herds of goats climbing the Argan trees looking for better food than they can find on the ground. After several stops to take photographs, we will continue your travel and get into Marrakech in the evening, for dinner and a good nights rest in you Riad.
Day 9 : Marrakech.
After breakfast in the Riad, you will be able to explore the red city of Morocco, Marrakech.
We will ensure that you see the most important sites of historical and cultural interest; including the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian Tombs, alongside the Bahia Palace. Enjoy lunch and refuel near the square before embarking on a walk through of the souk and market. We will leave you with some free time to view hundreds of handicrafts and ensure you get your shopping done. You're able to return to the hotel at your leisure.
